New trucks for Express Kenya Limited

Express Kenya has continued taking delivery of its fleet of new imported trucks, in an effort to refurbish the Prime Movers Fleet. A further investment has also seen more car carriers and new trailer models purchased, thereby supplementing the already existing Fleet, which will positively impact on the efficiency of the transport division at Express Kenya. All this is in light of the ever increasing demand for haulage services, both within Kenya and to neighbouring countries.

Express Kenya invests in modern tracking system

In agreement with client recommendation of a vehicle tracking system, Express Kenya now boasts of a modern state of the art GPRS truck tracking system for our general haulage services. This new system promises better Fleet management as our staff are now able to monitor truck movement and location from an online system, from the comfort of their workstations. In addition the system is programmed to send regular management reports enabling accurate accountability to both our clients and senior management.

Construction at Express Kenya

The 2 nd phase of construction of new warehouses is underway, and is scheduled to begin in early 2007. This will increase the capacity for storage of clients commercial goods in covered secure premises, to meet an ever increasing demand for warehousing services.

Enhancing marketing communications

In an effort to market our products and services at Express Kenya, the construction of a company website has been completed. The website (www.expresskenya.com) offers a brief history of the company, the range of services on offer, facts and figures, and will soon feature a quarterly company news update as well as other industry news. A new company brochure, outlining all company business segments has been developed and is already in circulation. Plans to make the brochure and quarterly newsletter available online are also in progress.

Appointments

With the growing service delivery demands and clientele, Express Kenya has expanded its staff force with the appointment of a new legal officer, Sales Executives and Warehouse staff.
